What Is My IP
You may see your public IP address above on ToolsBook
Any device connected to the Internet or any network has an IP (Internet Protocol) address, which is a string of digits that uniquely identifies it. Whether connected to an internal or external computer network, the address identifies and permits communication between these devices. A device is assigned an IP address if it sends or receives network traffic. As an illustration, the IP address 192.168.10.1 allows any device to connect to the same network and communicate with other devices. IP address management (IPAM) is a feature used by all governing devices, including routers, DHCP servers, and Internet service providers, to prevent numerous devices from being assigned the same Internet Protocol address.
You may see your public IP address above on our what-is-my-ip page. Your Internet service provider will display the IPv4 and, if available, IPv6 addresses that it has assigned (ISP). The IP address that is recorded whenever you access websites or make use of any other online services is known as your public IP address. It is not the same as your private IP address, which is different for every device because every device has a unique private IP address.
